2007 Menu 4 Cheese omelet with Vegs

Post by ak70g2 » Sun Dec 09, 2012 3:52 pm

Among the stuff I've got in the last parcel from Housil was a pouch of this stuff. Tonight, 'cause I've craved for some real military stuff (my MRE source dried up an year and half ago) I decided to give a shot of omelet.

Gladly said, this is NOT the same with older Egg Omelet. A very good taste of cheese, some firm pieces of chili, with exactly bell pepper taste turned my boring evening into a very pleasant one.

Conclusion: a nice addition in any backpack, perfect for breakfast in the field, with a mug of Menu 1,2 or 3 EPa tea and some EPa rye bread (I really enjoy both).

PS. Many thanks to Housil, for cheering my mood. :D

I´m happy you liked it. The EPa tea is my favourit hot drink. Is stronger than regular bag tea :D

Me too, love the tea. I think the only thing I don't enjoy too much on EPa's are the meat spread, they are too hard for me, not easily spreaded on bread. Romanian spreads are much more "creamy". But EPa tea and rye bread? I'll took anytime for a breakfast, and jams too. :D

The pate is made to be cut. That´s how we eat other canned pates too.

There is spread too like liver pate or tea pate

100% of my friends in the military that I've asked over the last decade HATE the veggie omelet MRE. I personally love it  No accounting for taste sometimes I suppose!

Although I've never tried either one, I'm curious how the veggie omelette compares to the Canadian IMP "lung in a bag" which, according to a couple Canadian medics I met at an air show, is about the worst ration. I do recall the MRE omelette with ham however, and as bad as it was, it was an IHOP breakfast with all the trimmings compared to the chopped ham and eggs MCI!
