CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE DoP 1983

Hi guys,
again a MRE NUT CAKE review, this time I tried a CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE with DoP 1983
, see the photos:
The closed CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE pouch with date code 3034, which means February 3, 1983. The outer card board was missing as I achieved it. Due to the "design" of the pouch it seems that is was packed by "Southern Packaging & Storage Co."

View into the opened CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE pouch, the early spring sun covers the cake after nearly 30 years for the first time since packaging

The CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE out of the pouch, some tears can be seen that surely are the result of rough storage, but the general appearance is absolute ok

The CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE broken in two halves, note the large amount of big chocolate drops

The taste test: As with all NUT CAKES I opened the last years the flavor was very fine
, just the right moisture
, no loss in quality even after nearly 30 years storing
. Those kinds of cakes were made for eternity…, I guess they are still edible in 2050…
; I hope I can try that
