I was hungry for buffalo chicken today, so I broke out one of my new 2010 MREs.

The package...
Lots of goodness inside...

The contents...
I boiled a pot of water with the fried rice and buffalo chicken packs in it... This actually gave the rice a nice consitency after stiring.

The buffalo chicken is spicy, but a sweet kind of spicy... I liked it a lot. I'm still trying to figure out why most of the MRE sauces taste similar.

I first tried the chicken with some of the wheat snack bread, but wasn't thrilled with the bread, so I put it on a few tortillas I had. I'm glad they added them to the 2011 production as that is a much better pairing. I later upscaled it with some blue cheese.

The fried rice was, well, interesting... It wasn't bad... You could taste the hint of soy in there. The consistency was quite sticky. I was surprised to see some peas in there as well. Once again, if I was out in the woods, I think I would have eaten it all.

Over all, it was an enjoyable meal. The patriotic cookies are quite good! I put the rest of the goodies aside for consuption later.

Thank you for that detailed review with great photos :D ! I still have not tried the BUFFALO CHICKEN, but I will do that shortly, because it appears really appetizing. The FRIED RICE I do not like, as you wrote, it is t sticky and slimy.

So long mreheater72

I found it spicey, but not that spicey. My father-in-law said it was quite spicey as well. I guess since I love buffalo chicken so much that it really didn't phase me too much.

I was surprised to find that it had a hint of sweetness to it. The additional of a blue cheese sauce made it even better tho.

I've always found that pictures of the food give a better sense of it. There was some decent chunks of chicken in it as well as you can see...

Great review, the buffalo chicken is actually one of my favorites and I always eat them with tortillas too.
