MRE´s for Peru

Post by housil » Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:41 pm

A fairy dropped a box of several entree´s, packed by MRE*STAR for Peru... Image

They got their own dishes like:

the backside of the box is complete labeled in Spanish!

Do they have microwaves in the fields?!

The pouch is regular to MRE´s

And after heating up

At least, a delicous variety to the very well known dishes of US military entree´s.
I know the lentils dishes from the HDR only and they are ... better than to starve

This one was much more better  but could need some "improvement" with a dash of salt and vinegar.

The next dish was:

Also labeled in Spanish.

Pouch and box

My first thought:

lots of sauce and pretty dark everything.

After heating up:

Now I know why the dish is called BBQ sauce w... instead Chicken with BBQ sauce
The dish is more a "soup" with (too much) BBQ sauce. If you like the salt/smoke taste of the BBQ sauce it will be OK.

Another difference to regular MRE´s:

the boxes are not glued, they have flaps and close like an envelope.

Would like to see that Microwave warning on all future MRE's.

Housil,

Wow, I had that one myself. I loved it! Very spicy but not overly done. I agree it's a bit more smoky sauce than a meal. Though on mine I didn't have instructions in Spanish. I got mine from the Epicenter.com. Hmmm...must try it again
