Fitness/Outdoors guide review of MRE

Post by Big Galloot » Fri Oct 30, 2009 9:03 am

This is one of those newspaper fitness columns doing a review of a Chicken Fajita MRE; http://hamptonroads.com/2009/10/surviva ... trying-mre

I thought that it was a balanced and intelligent review, not that I am either balanced nor intelligent.

Is a nice article. The thing is a constant is that the heaters don't warm up enough the food. It keeps it lukewarm or warm not hot ...maybe it was an old FRH.

I really think that the chicken fajita falls short personally, but I love the tortillas. I know they can't not package it in some sort of liquid, but that goop it comes in is nasty. That said, I can see where it's not terrible if you're in Iraq/Afg.
