Besides a Case A with 8087 code, I bought a bunch of loose MRE sealed meals from the "6 for $20 grab box" at the local gunshow, today. One Omelet MRE I opened, was late 2005. Boiled in the bag, absolutley delicious, after fermenting for nearly 4 years. See pics, and yes, believe it or not, Worchestershire sauce goes well on the omelet. To die for! Sorry, I did'nt have original Lea & Perrins brand. 8) :D

braver man than me! good thing you had hot sauce.

i went to the local gunshow today too - i find it interesting that my usual contact for MREs was totally out. all he had were loose MREs. asked about getting some FSRs and he said those were very hard to get hands on and to date he had not seen any avail (he's outside a major based as well).

other observations from the show - 45 cal and 223 ammo was very hard to come by in quantity. plenty of boxes of 25 and 50 and easily 100-200% over pre 2008-2009 prices. 308 was also doing a brisk trade as well, of course at premium prices.

as usual - plenty of 7.62 all over the place, but high prices and of dubious quality.
