2003 No6 Thai Chicken

Post by housil » Wed Aug 19, 2009 4:38 pm

Mrs. had to respond to an emergency close to "Feierabend" (quitting time), so a good "excuse" for me having a MRE for dinner :D

One of my favourits:

Another empty tabasco bottle

The rice, solide as a rock after 7 years in a pouch

After microwaving, I got one of the most delicious dishes to me!! Yery cream texture, neither too spicy/hot. Some kind of "sweetness"

The tabasco is a result of poor quality control..

Those fillingmachines sometimes have a airbubble, so they only spray a bit of tabasco in it (99% air) instead of the normal load..

It's very common in a factory with sauces like that (the structure.. ketchup, curry, mayonaise, etc etc) but they should come out in a quality control (mostly automated with a weight analyser).. strange
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Actually not.

The problem/phenomenon of empty tabsco bottles is well known over here

Usually they are leaking into the accessory bag:

causing stuff sticking together, spoiling the coffee, or just vanish into "Nirvana"

Not a production problem Image

At the bottle, you can see some "grained", withered tabasco "powder". Just the liquid is missing

Ok, I didn't know that.. I assumed it was packed like that without any leaks.
I used to stumble across mini syrup bottles like that with the same problem (civilian.. worst invention ever.. never ever got some syrup out of them, without heating it by rubbing it in your hands)..

Tabasco debate?
"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."
Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War;
shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered
to not wear their khaki leggings.

I meant debacle. I've had several empties but no adverse effects on the accessory pack.
