MINESTRONE SOUP EXTRA FILLING

Post by mreheater72 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 2:14 pm

Hi guys,

today I be up for testing another MRE recipe from here:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=572

I decided to take a MINESTRONE SOUP EXTRA FILLING for dinner, because I also like the single ingredients.

Here is the recipe:

MINESTRONE SOUP EXTRA FILLING

Ingredients:
1 pouch Chicken Breast or Beef Steak or Beef Patty (heated), I took the CHICKEN BREAST
1 pouch Minestrone Stew (heated)
6 ounces (1/4 canteen cup) hot water
Hot Sauce to taste

Directions:
Crumble meat and mix all ingredients well.

Here are some pics:

Ingredients (Chicken Breast date code 7157 for 2007 and Minestrone Stew date code 4323 for 2004):

Heated Minestrone Stew:

Heated and chopped Chicken Breast (crumbling was not possible!):

The finished recipe: Heated Minestrone Stew, heated crumbled Chicken Breast and 6 ounces hot water mixed together. I did not use the Tabasco, because I don’t like the vinegar in it, but it was spicy enough without.

Soup on table with German Wheat Beer :D :

The recipe was ok, but I prefer the Minestrone Stew and the Chicken Breast pure and unmixed.

So long mreheater72

Thanks for sharing. Doesn't look too bad, but I wonder how it'd be with some Chicken stock in lieu of water and a bit o Tabasco? The beer is definitely a winner!

Great idea for a recipe! And as always, beer makes the rations taste better. :-)
