Pork rib, boneless, imitation

Post by Big Galloot » Tue Nov 18, 2008 11:02 pm

Pork rib, boneless, imitation. Wow!

Visions of McRib sandwiches dance in my head as I wait for my 2007 Sopakco Pork rib, boneless, imitation to heat.

I will not keep you in suspense, this entree lives up to its promise of greasy goodness. On it's own, this entree is a spongy grease-soggy patty, sort of an over-sized McNugget made of pork instead of chicken. As bad as that may sound, it is in fact, quite tasty. There is a distinct smoky flavor that works well with the pork. It's good, not great.

This is when the Tabasco sauce stands tall, it's little red cape flapping in the breeze! This IS a job for TABASCO! And a damn fine job the Tabasco does!Write that down; Pork rib, boneless, imitation & Tabasco, you WANT IT!!!!

Add an ice-cold beer and a little slice of heaven is mine.

My only complaint about the Pork Rib is that it desperately needs to be a double-portion. I don't care that they throw in Clam Chowder with this MRE. I say remove the Clam Chowder and double-up on the McRib...I mean Pork Rib!

I agree on the ribs... The clam chowder just looks so... unappetizing :P

I gotta tell the truth, guys.

I'm hovering around 210# and one rib portion, at 230 calories, is just about right for me. A double portion would be 460 calories, I would have to skip the ice cold beer!

On the other hand, I spend most of my time in front of a computer keyboard. I would imagine that the pork rib would seem pretty skimpy to an active soldier in the field.

BTW - I am 6' 4" so I spread the fat around pretty well.
