the meal on the tray, the tray is from a Unit ration.

Everything was good except the cheese spread and the chocolate fudge. the fudge was gone sour and cheese spread, yhea you know...i changed it with fresh cheese spread for not spoiling the crackers. Just love the old vintage crackers with salt
i hydrated the pork patty with boiling hot water for about 5 min, it was just fine specialy with the catsup :D

The Catsup was wounderful with the pork patty

apple sauce a bit dark but not much for being from 1983, tasted just like apple sauce.

Me digging in
not in picture was my oldset son that finished the rest with me.

Nice, the pork patty and beef patty MREs probably have the best chances of lasting because they are freeze dried, even if the other rations didn't make it. Luckily the catsup was still good! I've never come across a good catsup until I opened the 1982 MREs I reviewed recently. It's as good as it is unique. I'm curious what the ingredients are in it, it's probably something that can be made with ingredients stored in the kitchen cabinet at home!
