One other thing I forgot to mention----the whole idea of nut cakes (nut rolls as they were called in the MCIs), is actually not a bad concept; unfortunately the military policy of "if it ain't broken, fix it until it is" really does apply here. I believe that the nut cakes and nut rolls could have been made better than they were (well mebbe not the nut rolls). Surely someone at the nutrition labs could have figured out that walnuts in a canned or pouched cake are probably not going to hold up as well over time as the cake itself. But I'm rambling here----oh well live and learn, that's why we always had plenty of mouthwash on our ambulance in the field! :lol: :roll:
