I guess 1994 was the year, in which the first time the "new" MRE case shape appears.

The photos are from here, it is not my case!

I´m a little bit surprised :o , that they used the terrible transparent Accessory Packet :( pouch already 1994! But at least the chewing gum is packed like in good old times :D !

The "Fruit Mix" do really not look very appetizing!

It´s amazing that the "Mars" decayed to powder, even the former chocolate coating is not visible any more! But I think it is a good sign that your wife forbid eating the "Mars", she still loves you :) ! There are certainly many wives all over the world that would be glad when her husband would eat some C-Rat ham from 1968  !

Please have some patience, but I´m already searching in my basement for the next darkbrown MRE to open!

By the way here is an Accessory Packet out of a already open LRRP-Ration that brought the mailman today :D !

Hi norge, nice review and great pics, thanks a lot :D ! Did you share the entrees with your children or did they eat them alone?

It is always amazing that the beverage base powders tend to agglutinate, although the package should be waterproof :?: :?:

That the Cheese Spread had turned bad after 13 years, I think that is pretty normal. I can smell it through the screen

So long with an other dark brown MRE mreheater72

Hagen, you are an engineer and should answer us such questions

I guess it´s the same as waterproof Gore-Tex allows vapor to pass through.
The sugar of the baverage powder causes an osmotic gradient and after many, many years...

See a tire that is loosing air through airproof rubber

So was that orange-ish stuff the cheese spread? If so, wow...I haven't ever seen it turn that color before!
