Must be a German thing, here in the UK we love spicy food, I though cajun sausage&rice was mild, but then again us Brits are very familiar with Indian food so maybe thats why?
We have very sensible tongues, so we don´t have to drown every flavour with hot sauce that every thing taste for hot sauce only
It´s an individual thing.
I don´t like hot taste - my wife loves it

We bought some cajun spice at a spice store

LOL, cajun spice = ?
There are about a million brands, they all just seem to have cayenne and salt as ingredients, the rest could be anything. I swear by Tony Chachere's myself.

You know the perfect partner to hot spicy food?
Some of that lovely cold German lager.

We know you are kidding only
At age of 15, I had 12 wheat beer (Weizenbier). I had to carry my brain for the next three days in an ice box...
That cured me for the rest of my life from drinking ANY alcohol
Do you know that we have more than 300 diffrent brands of bread and more that 1200 brands of pastries in Germany?

Heh, the museum of bread culture, how bizarre. I wouldn't have figured Germany for so many pastries.. mmm.. stereotypical German food.
