1982 Beef Ground with Spiced Sauce

Been a while since I opened a vintage MRE. So I went with a favorite.

Beef was good. Was better with hot sauce. Crackers made it even better. First time I ever got the strawberries, they were soft out if the package but had to try them anyway. They were a bit off but not too bad. Crackers and peanut butter were perfect, as usual. Cookies were good but on the verge of turning funky, putting peanut butter on them was fantastic. Caramels were not good at all.

That looks really good, it is crazy how food can be edible and delicious almost 40 years after it was made. I might try the "successor" to this dish tonight, the Beef Taco Filling from 2015.
