1991 MRE oatmeal cookie bar

Hey everyone,

I finally got my hands on an oatmeal cookie bar from a 1991 MRE I recently purchased. The cookie bar was packed on the 38th day of 1991.

Wow! It tasted amazing! Definitely one of the best things I've had from an MRE.

No bad smell and fresh taste. Very dense compacted bar.

As I bit into it, the cookie crumbled in my mouth and I was hit with a sweet sugar cookie like flavor. Good thing I only had one because if I had more, I'd eat them all in one sitting.

Those are my holy grail of MRE items. I had about 20 of them 6 months ago. Now I have 1. These should be brought back.

I had two of them that were sent to me, it was delicious. There must be some big reason they were discontinued but they're awesome, from the two i've eaten lol.
I'd never get them otherwise as there are no old mres or LRP/MCWS/RCWs etc ever available on this side of the atlantic
