2016 *NEW RATION* Menu #20 Hash Browns

Post by sdrozza » Sat Mar 11, 2017 1:25 pm

Wow. What a meal. The hash browns were delicious - strips of potatoes in a light salty gravy, with lots of bacon thrown in too. The orange drink was nice too, as were the crackers with cheese spread. It was my first time trying these, and they kinda tasted like cheetos! There was some delicious freezedried granola from mountain house and some nut raisin mix too. The flavour was great, but it left me feeling itchy with a swollen throat. Any one know why? I don't react normally to nuts but I do have an apple allergy. All in all, this meal was great, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone searching for a breakfast meal.

I guess you know about cross-reactivity, but if you don't, being allergic to one thing can also make you react to other things.
Guessing birch->almonds/hazelnuts, but you'd have to experiment to find out :)

Yeah, strange though. Never really felt like that before.
