2014 Menu 9 Beef Stew

Post by Looserevolution » Mon Jul 11, 2016 2:52 pm

New member and first post.
Picked up a Menu 9 Beef Stew this weekend.
Contents:
Beef Stew
Honey mustard and onion pretzels
Nut raisin mix
Multigrain snack bread
Chocolate hazelnut cocoa beverage powder
Grape jelly
Peanut butter
Accessory pack b

the stew was very reminiscent of dinty Moore beef stew which I love so it was very good. Used the salt water hack on the frh to head
Pretzels were the first thing gone the honey mustard wasn't too strong which I enjoyed
Raisin mix was a very basic trail mix heavier on the nuts so a ratio better to my liking. Added plus there was no salt on the mix.
Snack bread I prefer without anything on it. Like a honey wheat. Delicious
Hazelnut cocoa drink mix the wife laid claim to as I don't enjoy hazelnuts. Will post her thoughts when she tries it
Jelly and peanut butter I usually take to work and keep for whenever I may need them

It's so much like the canned stew that I call this one the "Dinty MRE."

Nice review, I also noticed there is finally NO trans fat in any of the ingredients that I can see!

Thank you. I never realized there was a large community based around mres. I always thought I was the weird kid that actually enjoyed them. I've been limited on local surplus stores until recently. Order my first Russian and French this past weekend. Hoping to make friends and connections in the community. The stew did have 1 gram of trans fat
