I'm surprised that maple nut cake was still fine. I've seen Steve suffer through rancid nuts in his reviews enough times to just expect brown bag MRE nut cakes to be rancid.

I know, I totally expected the nut cake to have gone rancid the past couple of times, but have lucked out. Pure luck though, because usually they are indeed rancid, as poor steve1989 has suffered through many times.
