Thank you to Kman, he sent me some "vegetarian taco pasta" entrees.

2014 (4091) never had a this new dish yet

After heating in boiling water (tastes better than micro waved)

The noodles had a nice texture, the beans were great also. Mrs Housil added some "picante sauce" to give it more "power" Image

She really liked and highly recommended that new dish.

It amazes me that the vegetarian meals always seem to taste better than the meat options. Maybe they add a few more spices, or need fewer preservatives - or something. But the veggie ones just taste better. This one and the ratatouille are terrific. Cheese tortellini is good but not quite as good as these two.

I was confused by the meal's name. Thinking it was some sort of Mexican style filling for tortillas.
Now that I have read the review, I see it is a stand alone beans and pasta entree. Just looking at the ingredients I would think Italian flavor would be a better fit with pasta. But I must say it looks fairly appetizing from here.

If Mrs Housil says it's taste good I will take her word that it is a good meal :D and eat with confidence

But I would still have to add some meat. Possible the Taco filling entree or some spiced beef from an older menu.

Same over here. We were "confused" as it said "Taco" and we had expect a taco ting.

It certainly would have been more accurate if they had called it Pasta Fajioli, which it closely resembles. But maybe they received enough negative feedback from troops who didn't know what Ratatouille is, either. Let's face it, there are a lot (I'm tempted to say a majority) of US Army troops who are clueless about international culture and cuisine.

Thankyou for sharing, Housil! This looks pretty good! I'll have to pick up a couple for my camping trips.
