Hi all,

I'm brand new to this site and I'm excited to join! I've long had an interest in rations, food, and food preservation though I have to say that I'm quite the amateur when it comes to many of these topics. I look forward to continued learning and the camaraderie that is part of a community sharing its interests.

I'm hoping to pick your brains to get some recommendations about which US MRE's you would recommend I try next. Based on the videos I've watched online, I have purchased and tried 3 of what seem to be fairly popular MRE's - Chicken Burrito Bowl (Menu 16), Brisket Entree (Menu 7), and Pepperoni Pizza Slice (new Menu 23). They were great! I'd like to keep trying new (and good!) menus and also hopefully get to try some new sides in addition to the main entrees. Out of the current crop of US MRE's, do any other menus stand out as "must try" ones that you would recommend?

My personal favorite is Menu 20 (hash brown potatoes, bacon, peppers and onions). Menu 10 (chili Mac) is a close second.

Chili mac #10 seems to be a favorite of the troops (it was good) and you should try the "burger" #19 beef patty jalapeno. The potatoes arent great, but bacon cheese spread, yum

Taco was pretty good and Asian beef is being removed, might as well grab one while easy to get
