Pepperoni Pizza Menu 23 NOT in 2021 inspection case
Pepperoni Pizza Menu 23 NOT in 2021 inspection case
Hi, recently bought a case A and case B with inspection date 2021. Paid about $85 a box because it was a group lot and I had my hopes high to finally try the pizza mre.
Unfortunately, this case did NOT have menu 23 pizza. It was still the chicken pesto pasta.
WASTE OF $170............
This is just a post to give others a heads up.
Date packed is 8020
Inspection date is 01/21

Thanks for the heads up. Does anyone know what date they started packing the MRE pizza?

Since the packing date is so early in 2018, I would make an educated guess that most of the components inside are actually made in 2017. You'd probably need a later-packed case in order to get the pizza menu for sure.
In the immortal words of President Harrison Ford, Air Force One: Peace is not the absence of war... it is the presence of justice.

Most components are actually dated early 2018.

Ive had something even worse happen to me, bought 2 2021 insp B cases and in both the #23 was missing altogether, instead a #10 macaroni was in it.
The Cases were packed late February according to the date code on it

That is very bad. I´m looking on ebay for the case B but most of the time, they were to old, or menu B is replaced with other sutff...

Tried until now: German EPa (old version), US MRE
To Go: Case A USA, Package 1 UK, 2 French, modern German EPa
nice to have: Russian, Italy,Scandinavian and the new US MRE with pizza

The pizza MREs will arrive at the Defense Logistics Agency in March, Smith told Army Times.
Soldiers will likely being seeing the pizza by the end of the year. Different installations and units will receive new MRE cases depending on how many they already have and how they’re issued.

I contacted Bridgford asking for a sample pizza. Due to EU regulations they are not able to send me one, but otherwise would have liked to do so. So, if you're in the US I advise you to contact them via their website and give it a try. You might have more luck than me.
Military rations I have...
tested: Germany, USA, UK, France, Norway, Canada, Lithuania
acquired but yet to try: Australia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Russia (Mountain, IRP), Ukraine

IIRC from the Morgan Spurlock book "DOn;'t; eat this book", USDA apparently allows pizzas to be tested by eye... this has NO truck with the EU>..Demolition_Man wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 3:52 pmI contacted Bridgford asking for a sample pizza.
