Trail Mix, Recovery

Post by DangerousDave » Sat Oct 27, 2018 12:19 pm

Interesting new item from a 10/2017 packed case. Menu #5. Trail Mix, Recovery. Contains pretzel balls, peanuts, almonds and cashews. I give it a thumbs up.

After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!

I make up what I call Four Buck Mix. From the Dollar Store (hence the name)

One bag each of Craisins, Peanuts, Tropical dried Fruit, and Corn Nuts. Mix and store in in small ziplocs. Corn nuts go stale and hard pretty quickly, so either eat this quickly or be prepared to toss some of it if it gets inedible. For the price, that's not too big a sacrifice.

Do you know how well the corn nuts hold up when vacuum packed (and even throw in a oxygen absorber for good measure)? That sounds like a good mix
