10 Day Survival Ration - any info?

Someone just emailed me about this "10 Day Survival Ration". They said:

This is a civil defense item found in a house I remodeled in the 80’s. It is unopened with its original metal seal intact. Have you ever encountered one of these before?

Has anyone here run across these before? The emailer said he'd send me some pics he found on Etsy of a similar ration that was opened.

Wow! All of those cans of water were in there? Must take up most of the space.

10 days on just 12oz of water and a dried soup packet or cereal packet per day which would have maybe 200cal?

that's a rough 10 days. Must be assuming you can scrounge for some extra supplies. Of course, people were also in better shape back then.

EDIT - Just saw on the label, it says it's for 2 PEOPLE FOR 10 DAYS and each food pack servers 4 people. They look a little small for 4 servings. Very curious how many calories per pack now.
