British MOD Rations

Post by Rogue187 » Thu Jun 14, 2007 8:54 pm

Is $20 USD shipped for one box of the MOD rations worth it?
I spoke with a fellow and he said that he would send one to me for $20.

I'm thinking of taking him up on his offer..
What do you guys think..worth it?

I think it might depend on how old the ration was but if it was from 2000 or later, I'd say it's worth it. I've seen those rations go for $30+ on eBay before shipping.

If it's older than a few years, don't count on the chocolate bar still being good (in my experience) but everything else should be ok.

If it's a "box" that would be 10 24-hour rations and it would be a fantastic price. If it's for a single current ration, £9.99 before shipping (which comes out to be pretty close to $20,) seems to be the going price from the UK surplus web stores, so the price would be comparable.
