Here's a pic I found on eBay - but it's only the outside wrapper, not the actual bar:

Heh...that'll teach me...I should have searched my own forums first. :-)

Here's a thread with the pics:

I just had one of these last week. Not bad. It tastes like a scone with cornflakes mixed into it.

I think it's supposed to help load the troops up on carbs to increase endurance.

Hey Treesuit - do you mean the new First Strike Ration? It looks like it has some sort of energy bar inside but I'm not sure which one. And I don't think there are full MREs in there - just parts and pieces - and maybe one of those new shelf-stable sandwiches. Here's a link:

This PowerPoint presentation has a listing of some of the proposed FSR menus. http://www.militaryfood.org/powerpoint/ ... eridge.ppt

Looks like they're using smaller versions of the HooAH bars.

kman,
Yes, I meant the First Strike Ration, sorry. I know the Hooah bars came in them but I wondering if the new RANGER bar came in them. It sounds yummy and does anybody know if you can get them at say Long Life Foods or the Epicenter for a bargain price?
