Way to bury the lede here - but thanks for posting this!
Even without the headline reading "MRE Pizza Appears" your find and the courtesy link is very much appreciated mate. Thank you - Peter and I are really looking forward to trying this one for sure
Cheers!

Must be because of the leadership/business tone in US, now.

After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!

I think if and when pizza finally appears in an MRE, it will be a big disappointment to any of us. To some soldier 100 miles from a pizza joint, it will certainly be the best pizza within 100 miles. But no better.

Good point Rocky. It's something we've been waiting for for SOOOO long that it can't possibly live up to the hype and the legend, but I'm definitely looking forward to when it finally happens! I'm keeping my expectations pretty low. It would seem like this will be a bit of a hit when it finally arrives and then will soon become "just another MRE". Especially in the case of soldiers who have no idea that this has been in development for so many years. But hopefully it will give just that little shot of home that you mentioned about being "the best pizza within 100 miles"!

My taste buds imagine a slab of snack bread smeared with "boyardee" sauce and some white MRE cheese whiz. With paste formed "pepperoni" disks.
And my taste buds are not amused.

Or maybe a FSR type pocket sandwich. I'll put money down and say that is what Natick is going with.
