Other info sites?

Post by jeepmang 3333 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 1:01 am

I assume this the largest and best forum pertaining to MREs but more info is never a bad thing as I am new and wanted to read up before asking the same trite questions that have already been answered for sure.

This is really your one stop shop. There are sites like olive-drab.com that lightly touch on rations but the reason for this site was because there was a lack of good centralized information out there.

Kman may correct me on that.

I've found Wikipedia to be a good source of information about current rations. It's very high level stuff (i.e. there is no breakdown of menus for some of the rations like you would get here).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_ration

It's also a good source of information on old American rations packs. If you Google 'K-ratio', 'C-ration', 'B-ration' etc. there is a page for every type with history and contents.

This is the most comprehensive site that I'm aware of, especially for US rations.

Don't worry about asking questions that may have bwwn asked before, you'll find a lot of great people here who will be happy to help answer any questions you may have. It's always great to see new people get bit by the ration bug. :)
