Any military guys have a favorite mre menu/tip/tricks? I'm just asking for fun and research. Just let me know which menu/menus are your favorite and if you doctored them up why and how. Then we can move on to the oposit. What menu/menus did you hate and why. I'd love to hear back from yall from k-rarions, mci, or mre's. I want to hear your story. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers these questions.

My favorite menus have always been the chicken ones, like em all; and the lemon poppy pound cake....the one I dislike the most was that brown bag dehydrated pork patty, double yuk!

I quite like the Southwest Beef and Black Beans, though you can't go wrong with the classics Chili Mac and Beef Stew.

Sounds like you like the classics cool. Did you do anything to Dr up the menus you got stuck with that you didn't like?

I have yet to try the southwest beef with black beans. Sounds like it'd be great on a tortilla

My all time favorite was the Diced Turkey in Gravy. No doctoring needed. You all know my favorite side....compressed oatmeal cookie bar.

My current favorite is also the SW Black Beans and Beef. Again, no doctoring needed.

My least favorites were Chicken Ala King and Frankfurters. What a disgusting pile of dog crap those were. I would eat whatever else came in the bag and give the entree away.

What year Frankfurters did you have? I know they changed them sometime from like a Vienna sausage type to more of a slim Jim consistency. I'm not sure when exactly that happened but the newer ones were the slim Jim type. The older ones were the Vienna sausage type. Thanks for the cool answers this is all great info guys.

Yeah, definitely the Vienna sausage kind in jelly. A horrific experience.....it was cold, it was wet and I had these. No heaters back then either.

Yep those look awful. But the other ones don't look that bad to me. I'm going to get some of the later ones to try myself.
