Vietnam era C-Rats

Greetings all. Santa(my wife) paid me an early visit this year. I am currently calling on my inner steve1989 to work up the courage to sample them. She really knows how to butter me up! I'm sure it's gonna cost me a case of FSRs, but I'm really looking forward to sampling them. No cigarettes though...

I loved the ham and eggs during boot camp.. beef slices not so much.

I ate a few MCIs in 'Nam but I don't distinctly remember either of those. The ones that stick in my mind were the godawful ones like the pork patty - which turned out to be a lard hockeypuck when eaten cold. The limas and ham that everybody else hated wasn't too bad, I thought.
