Which MRE should I try for tonights Dinner?

I have a few cases of 03-2009 A and B MRE's, and am trying to figure out which one I should open, try, and write my next review on. I do it on Friday's, because the Finance is at work until 9:00pm, and I'm left to forage for myself.

If you guys can give me a suggestion, by 6:30pm tonight (14 July 2006), I'll post the review after consumption.

It can be from Case A or B, doesn't matter. You can even recommend the WORST MRE in the lot of 24, and I'll eat it, and write a review. Or if you're just curious, and want a Guinea Pig before you try.

Does your case contain the 2005 or 2006 menus?

If it's the 2006 menus, I'd like to see what you think of Menu #1 - Chili w/ Beans.

If it's the 2005 menus and I were mean, I'd ask you to try Menu #4 - Cheese and Vegetable Omelet. :-) But I'll try to be nice and recommend #12 - Veggie Burger. For a vegetarian meal, it's actually pretty darn good.

I just cracked the case A open and #1 was Beefsteak and Not Chili/beans so I guess I have 2005 Case Menus.

So Veggy Burger huh? Anyone else have any curiousity, or torture they'd like to see a fellow MREInfo member succumb to?

I have not tried any of the ones on those menues. I'm curious about the chicken fajitas. I wonder if they come with salsa or not. Just a thought for you if you want to try one with meat in it.

I tried those Chicken Fajitas during my last MRE splurge. I wasn't too impressed with them - the fajita-mixing part was kind of messy.

OK;

So that's one for general opinion on the Veggy Burger
That's one for TORTURE (meaning the Omelet with Cheese)
And One for Chicken Fajitas.

Even though the first and second came from kman, I'll still qualify them as requests.

I really don't mind torture, and I actually like Eggs (maybe not after the MRE version though)

2 hours 13 minutes and counting for the decision.

Fajita's Anyone?

Go for the fajita. I love fajita's and I would like to know how they compare!

I recommend #21: Chicken Tetrazzini.

Excellent main meal. Had it for lunch yesterday. If it only came with cheese instead of jam, and a pineapple poundcake instead of the milkshake, it would be perfect.

I am not that fond of that one, it is more like tuna fish and noodles. I love the Chicken fajitas one. kman, you and I would do just fine sharing a case of MREs together, you like all the ones I don't like and vice versa.... :D

Chicken Tetrazinni doesn't taste of anything....I mean nothing at all, it's like eating anti-matter or something- You get full, and you chew but it doesn't register at all on the tastebuds.

'Course, when yer out in the wilds on a cold/wet/miserable typical British autumnal day then it's Hot and welcome, but when you got the choice then pic something else....Like Country Captain Chicken, which is far nicer *braces for violent reactions from other posters*
