Noticed something from the 2012 case I just picked up.....NO TABASCO???!! I'm getting some weird brand hot sauce I've never heard of. Bulliard's....Doesn't taste as good from my first go at it.

Also, What is up with the matches? I guess they've stopped making the matchbook covers in jungle green? Like it matters, I know, but still...Once these babies start piling up in my junk drawer, I'm gonna have a hard time ID'ing them as MRE matches, given my decades-long use of the old color.

Personally, I'd be happy to see some variety in hot sauces. Tabasco is okay, but there are SO many other choices. And many of them are tastier and less vinegary. Frank's and Texas Pete are just two examples, both of which are commercially available in packets. I've picked up both kinds at fast food places - and carry them along with my MREs.

Matches? If it's necessary to have flameless heaters, why include matches? Smoking is strongly discouraged nowadays, and those who still smoke are likely to carry their own lighters. Dump the matches and give me more hot sauce, is what I say.

I know i've seen packets of Tapatio before, not sure of others. And, matches still come in handy, and at roughly >$.01 a book....

I can tell you from experience if it gets cold out there those book of matches come in real handy.
