Best Deal?

Sorry for a dumb question. I have not checked the forums at all lately.

I know a woman that's looking to get some MREs into the hands of school kids for some education and entertainment.

The last time I ordered up MRE's (pre-Katrina) they ran about $45 a case on eBay. It no longer looks to be the same.

About what should I be paying? Is there a better place than eBay to look? Is the "cajun" lady on eBay still the best deal?

Thanks,

GigaBuist

There was a guy selling MREs over the last few weeks for about $30 for 12 with reasonable shipping. Unfortunately, he looks to be all sold out for now.

CajunClara is always a reliable source for MREs but you're going to be paying a premium - about $60 buy-it-now plus shipping.

This guy:

has MREs for $35/case with ok shipping ($20 for me). He says he has 12 so it might be worth a look. I don't know this guy or his history on Ebay so be sure to check him out.

Other than that, normal prices on Ebay are higher than previous years right now but with hurricane season here, I wouldn't expect them to drop anytime soon. As soon as the first hurricane hits land, you can expect prices to skyrocket back up to $80/case.

Good luck.

Neat idea. I would have loved to try real Army rations when I was a kid.

just scored 2 b-menu cases from my contact for $40/ea with 2007 inspection dates.

would have gotten 4 or 5 but the wife would have flattened my skull with the cast iron fried chicken skillet...

If you click on a year after 95, it will differentiate between Case "A" and "B".

The menus are currently split, so an "A" case would be 1-12, and "B" would be 13-24
