Hey, I wanted to know what you guys love in MRE's. Favorite Entree? Side-dish? Snack? Spread? Drink? Chewing Gum Flavor?

Okay, maybe not the last one. I'll say my favorites are:
1. Cheese Spread w/ jalapenos
2. Most of the beverage mixes (lemon-lime being my favorite)
3. Chicken With Noodles
4. Wheat Snack Bread
5. Fig Bar
6. Crackers
7. Pork Maple Sauage Patty
8. Vanillia Pudding (haven't had this for so long, do they even make this anymore??)
9. Fried Rice
10. cheese tortellini
11. Beef Ravoili
12. Mexican Style Chicken Stew

There, boom. So, what are your favorites? :D

Good topic, ElevatorFan73! My favorites would have to be the fudge brownie, any poundcake, the plain cheese spread, beef stew, pretty much any chicken entree. Unfortunately I was discharged in April 2001 so I have not tried any of the stuff made from after that; I'm talking about the stuff from the 1990s which are nothing like what I see in the later and current menus.

So far, my favorite entrees are beef stew (I'm hardly alone with that one) and ratatouille, as well as the now-discontinued sloppy joe filling. I haven't been able to get an MRE with jalapeno cheese or snack bread yet, but I'll keep looking. Seems like all I ever get is peanut butter and crackers.

I find osmotic cranberries and raisins to be amazingly good - better than any dried fruit I can get in stores, in fact. Just astounding. My favorite dessert item is the lemon poppyseed cake.

Edit to add: all of mine are current issue, 2013 production.

Favorite has to be the Cheese Spread with Bacon (sadly only included in one menu :( ) but the Jalapenos one is quite tasty too. Favorite entree is the Tuna, yet it never seems to be included (3 B cases from different dates (11XX-13XX) and they all had some kind of mix between the meatballs and Tuna, with neither containing any tuna.).

#1= Sterling Wheat Snack Bread; Mickey Style: Heated its just about perfect, soft and slightly sweet, slightly crumbly. works well as breadcrumbs if let get stale

#2= Chicken Breast Patty Entree: Simple, just meat, no sauce, no weird stuff.

#3= The Outer Bag: super tough, super light, super useful

Definitely echoing the jalapeno cheese spread sentiment. As far as favorite entrees go, beef patty and pork rib all the way. To be completely honest, the only component I haven't liked so far were the mashed potatoes.

All the cheese spreads, but the bacon is the best, followed by the jalapeno...
The crackers are good, but too fragile..
The berry cobbler, delish!
