Those recalled dairy shake mixes....

I have a couple of MRE's from 2005-06 that have those dairy shake mixes in them.

Can anyone please shed any light on the actual odds of one of mine having been contaminated with samonella given how long it's been since this thing was manufactured?
FYI: This one came in a Menu #9 Beef Stew w/date code 6026. Please give me your honest opinion.

Thanks!

You do not want to try these!

Odds are, you'd be fine.
On the other hand, you would be one sick puppy!

Not worth it, IMHO...

Dairy shake has been consumed.

No adverse effect on me. Must have been a good batch.

About the MRE's affected by the dairy shake recall - some of those years I was on active duty, and I never got sick from drinking one and I can't say I know anyone who did. But I did not use them but maybe < half the time because they were just not my thing. So odds are you will not get sick, but if you draw the short stick and pop a hot batch it won't be nice for a few days at least but you will survive!

I've only had one of those shakes - a strawberry. It came (I'm pretty sure) from a Southwest Beef with Black Bean MRE, which are newer than the years quoted. It was - of course - fine.

I was able to mix it and then chill it in an ice chest while fishing. It was remarkably like a genuine milk shake. I thought the beef and bean entree was outstanding, BTW. I had it on a bed of crumbled cracker.
