Ten BEST...and Ten WORST

Okay...that's it. A call for your opinions on what you think are the TEN BEST entrees and your TEN WORST entrees. You can put them in order, if you desire, the top number one position being the BEST or the WORST of the bunch. Also, you can include entrees no longer current (since they're STILL OUT THERE in boxes, in closets, waiting to be consumed!), e.g. Five Fingers...CCC...etc.
So, make your lists and post 'em!
If you can't think of ten, maybe we should make it "Five BEST...Five WORST". (???)

To be perfectly honest, I never had an MRE entree that I didn't like. I haven't tried the country captain chicken, though.
Hmm... my favorites (in no particular order):
Ham Slice
Corned Beef Hash
Meatballs w/ Tomato Sauce
Meatloaf w/ Brown Gravy
and just about anything with potatoes.
The one item I had in MREs that I didn't especially care for was the bread- but, it wasn't so bad as to be inedible. Especially if it was used to sop up sauce.

Well.. I have a top 5 at least, most of them taste so average that I haven't formed much of an opinion. (I'm also going to include IMPs in this list, cause I have a lot of them)
1. Chili Mac w/ the cheese mixed in. The best entree ever.
2. Any version of the pasta w/ tomato sauce.
3. Salmon Filet (IMP, awesome)
4. Chicken w/ Salsa
5. Ham w/ Mustard Sauce (IMP) The big chunks of ham rock.
5 I don't like
1. Pasta w/ alfredo sauce.. I know not to look at it, but its still nasty.
2. CCC. I doubted what everyone said till I tried it.
3. Beef Stew.. just too bland, even with the tabasco.
4. MRE Rice.. I don't like soft rice, although the mexican rice goes well if you mix it in w/ the chicken and salsa
5. The cereal in IMPs.. I had one that the powdered milk had gone bad, and it just ruined them for me.. I know its not an entree, but blah..
I really need to write down what I think of when I eat them.. I've had a lot of different ones, but these are the few that stick out in my mind when deciding what to bring.

I'm kind of like Roundeyesamurai in that I like most MRE entrees. But there are a few that I try to avoid or save for last. As for my favorites, that's a tough choice but I'll try to list the ones I tend to grab first when I see them:
Favorites
----------
Spaghetti
Chili and Macaroni
Jamaican Pork Chop
Cheese Tortellini
Chicken w/ Cavetelli
Not-so-favorites
------------------
CCC
Beef Frankfurters (Four Fingers of Death)
Chicken Breast
It's not so much that I don't like the chicken breast - it just doesn't seem like much of a meal so I always avoid it until I don't have any choice.

I tend to take that Chicken Breast and use it as a beginning to a meal. Top it with some pasta sauce from a jar and sprinkle some shredded mozzerela on top and you've got . . . well, not an authentic Italian dish, but, hey, at least it's better than having to look at those fake grill marks (which someone had once described as looking like Humvee tire marks from having been run over by a disgruntled soldier).
Another aside: if you take the chicken breast; and the turkey with potatoes (minus the potatoes); and the Jamaican pork chop (minus the tasty sauce and noodles)...now with all these bare naked pieces of meat .......
....don't they all taste the SAME?

Yes, they do all taste the same - that's why I call them all "MRE Mystery Meat". It's all mechanically-separated animal of some sort. Just hopefully it's an animal I'm use to eating and not something that crawls around the floors with whiskers.

Reminds me of The Simpsons episode with the RIBWICH:

Krusty tells the Ribwich fans that the sandwich can no longer be made as the animal they used is now extinct.
"Cow?" someone asks. "Pig?"
"You're
way off," Krusty replies. "Think smaller. With more legs."

Hillarious
Personally I Think All The Mres are edible in a pinch
The Worst:
Anything with eggs, milk, noodles, ect has a serious taste flaw to me
Dump 2 bottles of tobasco on them critters!
Good:
Beef Pot Roast w/veggies
Jambalaya
Beef steak
veggie burger
meat loaf n gravy
So On...
Only 1 Dose of tobasco or ketchup or bbq sauce needed with these
types
The only entree ill eat stand olone is the Beef Pot Roast w/veggies
yum:)
Well

Well, let me see. Best:
Beefsteak with some kind of Mushrooms/sauce
Spaghetti with some kind of sauce, well. it's a DiMarco thing. You would'nt understand.
Beef patty
Chicken patty, Meatloaf w/Onion gravy.
Worst: 1980's Beef chunks w gravy, also known as beef fat chunks with gravy, Turkey same, also known as "Wild Turkey Surprise" chunks with gravy. sometimes the almighty ham/chicken loaf(sometimes, they could get this right, but rarely), any entree that has some kind of white sauce"Alfredo", who is Alfredo. ? I'd like to kick his left buttock up around his neck. Vege's with Pasta, period. Yuck. I got to have some meat, preferably, beef.
