Crackers Cocoa Beverage Powder

Hi Folks,
today i got a few cans from C-rations of 1980.

I opend a B-2-Unit can of crackers cocoa beverage powder.
They still smell ok and taste good

Take a look at the picture:

These days i will get two spain MREs. I will report about this.

Hi Rudi. I opened a can of those MCI crackers, too. They were still crisp and tasted ok - but for me, they definitely had a "tin" taste to them.

When you go through that Spanish ration, please take lots of pics! I only have a few pics of that ration and they're all pics of the outside packaging.

Yes, they have a "tin" taste. But i know this from many other rations. I belive this is normal. I opened the tin with a safety opener and i was very surprised, becaus there seem to bee some glue in the folded tin. ( Sorry, i dont know how to use words for this technical detail, hope you understand me)

Maybe i know the guy you got the spain ration pictures from

He is livin only 35 miles from me and his name is oli ? i am rigth ? We know each other only a few days by the german forum of military cars, but we hope to meet in real live.

I bought one closed an one opende ration. I am waiting for the postman. Hope to get them soon.

Yes, I know Oli - he's emailed me a few times. If I recall correctly, he has a very nice rations collection.
