Any interest in mre's from 1983?

Post by snackdaddy » Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:44 am

I found a few sealed mre's in my Dad's gear after he died. Can anyone tell if they would have any collector value. I'll have to dig them out and check the dates.I took one to work to show to someone who did not know what a mre was. I left the fruitcake in the lunchroom and someone ate it, they said it was good. Thanks, Dan

As norge said..it depends on the conditions those cases where kept. Some of the items might still be edible.

Thanks, for the replies. I would not be interested in eating these, although I did eat a cracker out of one and it was still good. As soon as I can dig them up, I will post more info. Dan
