Hi!

I'm pretty sure I asked a question on how does one send mres overseas-by this I was curious to know if folks declare it's camping meals and if they used padded envelopes or cardboard boxes.

Somehow my original question seemed to be deleted. Not sure if I asked something that should not be asked.

Any advice or suggestions,folks?

To answer your question, I declared the MREs as "camping supplies" and shipped them in a cardboard box.

To answer your question, I declared the MREs as "camping supplies" and shipped them in a cardboard box.

I've done this, too, with good results. I've shipped to Europe, Great Britain, Australia and Canada. All my packages made it through to the recipients. YMMV

I've had success with declaring them as "camping supplies", too.

I wouldn't say "camping meals" or "camping food". Those seem to me to be more likely to trigger a customs inspection.

I was looking at a padded envelope but I will go the cardboard box way as shipping container.
