Q: FILLED FRENCH TOAST

Hi, just rooting through my FSR to see whats what.
Came across 'Filled French Toast' but only thing in the pack that could fit the bill was labelled 'Cinnamon Scone'.
Is this the same thing, or a substitution due to a shortage or something?
Anyone ever come across something similar in other MREs?

Also I'm guessing the Toaster Pastry is a pop tart, and I tried the Wheat Snack Bread, MMMMM! Got to get me some more of those!

Cheers!

The Filled French Toast is definitely different than the Cinnamon Scone. You can see a Cinnamon Scone in this MRE review:

As for the Filled French Toast....darn...I thought for sure I had tried one of those but I can't seem to find the pics. I think I'm confusing it with the new Cinnamon Bun MRE item. I'm going to have to dig one up to do a proper review but in the meantime, here's a picture of it from LongLifeFood.com:

Kman, thanks for your reply. MRE Info is a font of knowledge as ever! MREs I always find so difficult to keep track of, so many menus and always changing...

Thanks also for the link to LLF. They have some pretty cool stuff there. Now I just need to figure out how to get that okayed by EU customs :p

Looks like they were out of FFT that day and i have some cinnamony goodness instead. Still, can't complain! Cheers!

Here is Cinnamon Bun http://shop.meyerscustomsupply.com/prod ... egoryId=12

Appears to be different to the scone, looks more FSR Sandwich like...

Yes, the Bridgford Cinnamon Bun is apparently derived from their sandwich bread.

I just ordered some, and will give then a try soon.

You can get the filled French Toast at The Epicenter. They cost about $1.30 a piece, but you have to order a minimum of 12.

Sounds like a substitution to me. I just had Filled French Toast last week out of an FSR here in Afghanistan. It is based on Shelf Stable Bread Technology and tastes like a Brown Sugar Pop Tart, a little dry.

Cheers,

While we're at it, here are some pics of the Shelf Stable Cinnamon Bun Sandwich. The sandwich tasted great. It was kind of like FSR sandwich bread with cinnamon Pop Tart filling inside.

I got these from TheEpicenter. It looks like they're out of stock on them right now but it looks like you guys have found them elsewhere.
