So yesterday I didn't have much to eat all day long - I've been fighting a cold that I picked up on an airplane. Finally, around 4pm, I can't take it anymore and I have to eat something. So I grab a packet of HDR fortified snack bread, a packet of peanut butter, and a jar of jelly out of my fridge. Open bread...squeeze out peanut butter...lather on the jelly...and oh man...that tasted so good!
Yuck

Maybe if you did'nt have anything to eat for 3 days. Just my opinion. LOL. I ate a Chicken Cavatelli for breakfast. They should change the name to CC Chicken with Tortelini, cause thats all it is. I gave it a C minus.

I have not eaten any MREs for about one week now. I have to start holding back as I only have less than 20 meals left and I cannot seem to find a good source for them...

Just to update everyone on the snack bread pb&j situation...
This cold just won't go away...so I've been popping cold medicine all week and as you may know, that tends you leave you a little light headed and can give you can empty feeling in your stomach - the kind of feeling that says you'd better eat something or you're gonna feel worse.
And so far, the only thing that has hit the spot has been that HDR snack bread, peanut butter, and jelly. Yum. Been eating it all week. Pretty soon, I'm going to have re-order another hundred from that guy in Idaho!
So DangerousDave, yes, this stuff is good if you haven't had anything to eat for three days....or if you're sick and on drugs.

Try making a ranger cookie..... when I was at Ft. Hood, that's all we ever ate....
In your left-over foil cracker packet, mix together your Creamer, Non-Dairy, Dry...... with your sugar packet. You might wanna throw in a few drops of water too....
Close the packet (it helps to only open one side when you get your crackers out. This takes a skillful hand). Take a lighter, and heat the foil packet until you have yourself a ranger cookie !!!
(you could try using your MRE heater as well, but I've never known anyone who's tried that)...

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been wondering how to make that - I heard a similar recipe where they'd dump everything into the creamer packet but it didn't sound like there'd be that much room in there. I'll have to give this a try!
