Greetings, I just wanted to start out by introducing myself. I'm Jason Smith and I live just outside Cincinnati, home of Wornick. I got into MREs just a few weeks ago when I bought 6 of them for use while camping. Not only were they tolerable but they were downright GOOD! First MRE was Sloppy Joe!

I discovered this site and learned of EVER SAFE meals from Wornick over in Blue Ash. Well I called Wornick and they of course would not sell me military MREs (something about government property  ). However they are offering the last production run of their 10 pack boxes for sale for $45 a case + shipping. I just wanted to let everyone on the forum know about them, and include a few pics.

I got two cases. Both of which are dated 2009

They have 5 menu selections. All come with crackers, spice pound cake, FRH, and accessory kit (salt, pepper napkin, spoon, Nescafe, and non dairy creamer) :
EVER SAFE MENU #1
Cheese Tortellini in Tomato Sauce
Fried Rice

EVER SAFE MENU #2
Grilled Chicken Breast Filet, chopped and formed smoke flavor added
Cornbread stuffing

EVER SAFE MENU #3
Brushy Creek Beef Stew
Cherry Blueberry Cobbler

EVER SAFE MENU #4
Brushy Creek Beef in Barbeque Sauce
Refried Beans

EVER SAFE MENU #5
Brushy Creek Chili with Beans
Mexican Style Corn

Cheese Tortellini

The Cheese Tortellini and Grilled Chicken Breast is almost all MRE components, however the other 3 all contain Brushy Creek brand products with Best By dates of mid 2010.

Calorie count ranges from 780 (grilled chicken breast) - 1250 (Brushy Creek Chili). Most are around 1,000 calories.

I have not tried any yet, but I am going camping next weekend and will report on how they are.

P.S. This is my attempt to give back to this great forum. It was through here I found out about armynet's MREs. I have 4 cases coming this Tuesday!

How very bizarre!!!

I recently purchased a box of the Eversafes, just to see what was in them. The contents that I received were much different; viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2912

Strangely the ones that I received had heaters from Heatermeals not FRHs as you got and the non-MRE components were Armour products. I looked up Brushy Creek and they are a brand owned by the Keene Group that apparently supplies exclusively to the correctional systems. They do seem to have an interesting entree list that includes Roast Beef with Gravy, Corned Beef, and individual precooked bacon pouches.

Frankly, the meals that you received look better than the ones that I got, but I got a real good deal on the price so I won't complain.
