Are those the final product or are they just a mockup? I don't really care for those labels. I prefer the way the current MREs have the contents, ingredients written or stamped on in black writing. I am assuming those are just test rations.

They contain food easily eaten on the go, she said: a pocket sandwich, beef jerky, nuts, dried cranberries, applesauce and bread or crackers with a cheese spread.

Since when is cheese or bread with a cheese spread an easy on the go food? I have to sit down and carefully spread that scrumptious cheese spread on my wheat snack bread with the utmost care and respect...

I noticed at WalMart tonight in the lunch meat section they have a little clear box and it is called the Pocket Lunch. You get a few pieces of meat, string cheese, two pieces of wrap a candy bar, drink, some pudding or jello and spoon/napkin etc. It was selling for 2 for $5.00. I tried to find a pic on the internet with no luck. They also had PB & J by the way, turkey, ham, etc. I will have to go buy a couple and take some pics.

Also, at Publix a major grocery chain and the most popular in Florida, sold a cylindrical lunch package. It was called, hell, I forget, but it was sort of like the pocket lunch thing I described above. My short term memory sucks, but hell I can remember what I was doing when I was five and I never, ever forget a face. Go figure!
