Today I made once again a good P38 trade on a German flea market :D . All in all 27 P38s, three of them original packed. Some are a little bit rusty, but that’s no problem. There are SHELBYs, SPEAKERs, KAYs and GREENEs. I paid 12 EURO for all 27, that´s about 18,50 USD.

All 27 at one view:

Really cool. You got the real deal there.

I used to have one on my keychain until an overzealous airport screener decided to take mine. Since this was less than one month after 911, and there were still troops with M-16's standing right behind the screeners, I decided not to make a fuss

Every time I have tried to find one since they always seem out of stock or outrageous on the shipping. Finally I found some P-51s (which since I have some #10 cans off surplus stuff would come in handy) at a place I was ordering some maxpedition stuff.

Except the P-51 BENT on the first can I tried to open, with only moderate pressure. POS.

So now I just have a regular can opener on my keychain multitool. I don't fly hardly at all anymore so it is no big deal.

Glad I only ordered 4 of them instead if 20 like I wanted
