Emergency Truck Kit
Heres a pic. of Mark 4 kit. The Brits invented it. I added a couple items, Like the Solingen K-55 Mercator knife. This, of course, is a "minimal kit". Us crazy survivalists have to keep on top of this this stuff, you know. PS, Never fly on any aircraft, within CONUS.

I see the heliograph is an actual mirror - not trying to be funny, but I didn't expect that. I have an Aussie one somewhere and it's just a polished steel rectangle with a sighting hole in the middle, about the same size as a Silva compass. I've also seen the older US GI ones and they look different again - thicker and with some sort of cross-hatched reinforcement pattern.
