Nice thought though I think the Cammo is the wrong type. Woodland cammo was first around in the 1980s. The cammo that they would have used if any(G.I was O.D) would have been tiger stripe. Also looks like you have an M4 type weapon there would have been likely to be an M16a1 or an Colt commando type. Great job though

I haven't seen much of that M1967 web gear around - nice find. Is that an Airsoft weapon?

Not LRRPS, I know - but have you read Major John Plaster's books about MACV-SOG? Very interesting books, written by a genuine war hero.

Great pic. Norge. Just turn the First Aid/Compass pouch on your left shoulder right side up. Your wearing it "Hollywood style". If you must low crawl thru whatever, and your 1st aid/compass pouch is like that, you may loose the contents, due to pouch snap coming undone. :)

OK PC1149, you low crawl, high crawl, 3-5 second rush across that field for 500 meters, and when your buddy gets hit, and you don't have your Elwyn dressing, first aid, camouflaged, you'll know your Drill Sergeant was right. :P

The pouches were usally also wrapped with od tape to keep that from happening DD. I can show you dozens of photos of SOG, LRRP's, Force Recon guys wearing the pouches upside down and taped in Nam. It was a lot different fighting in country than in CONUS, basic or advanced Inf. school.
