Interesting article although I did not understand what the hell they were really talking about half of the time. I basically got out that we are to look forward to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in our upcoming MREs and that better tasting food and better varieties of food will soon be available thanks to the low levels of oxygen that will be present in the future utilizing the Multisorb process. Did I get it right?

You got it right. I had wondered why they don't vacuum seal the cookies, peanut butter crackers, etc., and now I know why.
