MRE's from Be Prepared

This looks to be one of the best prices I've seen for a case of MRE's. It almost seems too good to be true, which is why I am posting it here for the experts to view.

What do you guys think? Has anyone here purchased from this site before?

Contents: Qty
MRE Main Dish Entrees 9
MRE Side Dishes 6
MRE Crackers or Bread 3
MRE Peanut Butter Packets 2
MRE Jam Packet 1
MRE Cheese Packet 1
MRE Desserts 6
MRE Drink Mixes 3
Water Pouches 18
Utensil & Accessory Packets 9

The deal is okay, for at most $20 more (assuming that $50 is including shipping, which I doubt) I'd rather just have a whole case and buy a box of water pouches. You'll use most of that water for the FRHs anyway.

Free shipping on the above and it only costs $60, the inspect date is pretty decent, but the box condition looks a little shady. There are quite a few cases of 12/08 inspect for $65 on ebay right now.

MREDepot has cases for $65 + shipping, so ~$80 depending on where you live.

Note on the MREDepot cases, they're not mil-surp/over-runs this time around apparently, but you get the idea.

BigMark beat me to most of what I was going to say. $50 seems like an awful lot of money for 9 entrees and some other stuff. Even $68.50 for a case of aPacks from http://www.mrefoods.com would seem like a better deal.

But BePrepared.com also has that deal MCIera posted yesterday - 10 cases of Eversafes for $300 ($30/case). That's a pretty good deal.

My bad.
. . . I assumed it was a 12 meal case, and didn't read the narrative.

Yeah, it's real hard to get me to do some shopping for MREs. 8)

Even I have to admit...10 cases of Eversafes for $300 ($30/case) is a hard deal to beat. They must have got a whale of a deal from Wornick.

I may have to visit the store since I'm 3 or so miles from it.

That 10 case deal includes shipping if you don't go to the store. If you do, maybe you can give the rest of us some feedback about that deal. The Eversafe closeout deal is still being featured for this month.

I can only imagine what my wife would do to me if I had 10! cases of MREs shipped to me at one time. I do believe she'd try to castrate me with a spoon or something horrible. Maybe an MRE spoon though, that'd be almost less bad.
