MRE's in some bad movie

Post by Phonelesscord » Fri Jul 22, 2005 2:18 pm

So I just watched Vin Diesel in The Pacifier.

Its about some marine guy babysitting a family, and he tried to feed em MRE's, was kinda funny.

It would be cool to have clips of stuff like that on this website..KMAN!!!

Actually, phonelesscord you bring up a good point and reminded me of a post I wanted to put up and that is, let's list how many movies there are with MREs or rations in general in them. You named the Pacifier and I can think of two movies right off the bat...

1) TEARS OF THE SUN - MREs being eaten and given to civies.
2) BIG RED ONE - MCIs being eaten and given to civies as well.
3) PACIFIER - MREs being given to the civies

so that must be the rule, you have to show the food being given to civies by military personnel...LOL!

Can anyone think of any other movies that feature rations?

Hmmm, I saw this movie, but I don't recall Jodie Foster or her daughter eating them but hey, it has been a long time since I have seen the movie, actually, I think it has been about 3yrs since.

@DirtyDave :
I saw "Panic room" last year on german TV, the MREs were just for some seconds in the camera, first when Jodie looked into the cases for a breathsparays for her daughter,second when they sat on the floor surrounded from eaten MRE single pacs which they ate.

PS: Also often you can see C-rations in the movie or TV-series of NAM

I remember seeing mres stacked on the shelves (or my eyes are bad) on the second season of '24'. In the episode where Jack Bauer's daughter meets the guy with the bomb shelter. I too remember them in panic room, as I recall they were the civilian types, not the official military ones.

I never saw the second season of 24. Is it good? I have only seen the first season or rather borrowed the box set from a friend and I just about had to watch all the episodes back to back it was so addictive.
