Re: MRE's in some bad movie
MCI's are shown in both "Platoon" & "Hamburger Hill". (Both movies about VietNam.) C-rats are shown in several WW2 movies (e.g. "A Walk in the Sun"), but I can't recall any Korean War movies that show C-rats.
As an aside, I wish someone would make a movie based on the book, "The Gentle Infantryman" by William Young Boyd. If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend you do so. (Connection to this site is K-rations & D-ration bars are mentioned several times.)

Actually, phonelesscord you bring up a good point and reminded me of a post I wanted to put up and that is, let's list how many movies there are with MREs or rations in general in them. You named the Pacifier and I can think of two movies right off the bat...
1) TEARS OF THE SUN - MREs being eaten and given to civies.
2) BIG RED ONE - MCIs being eaten and given to civies as well.
3) PACIFIER - MREs being given to the civies
so that must be the rule, you have to show the food being given to civies by military personnel...LOL!
Can anyone think of any other movies that feature rations?

The Tomorrow War (2021) has an appearance from a pair of Menu 11 veggie lasagnas. Given that the scene is set in 2051 they're either 38 year old examples or the menu is coming back
The packages look a little slim and I've never seen those markings or wording before. If they've been invented by the props department they did a pretty good job.
They don't eat the meals... the scene appears at about an hour and 19 into the film.
Oh and the film isn't bad. Kept me entertained anyway.
