In case you missed it on the
"Menu C MREs" thread, I just added a new webpage to site about them. Check it out:
http://www.mreinfo.com/civilian/mre/menu-c-mres.html
I plan on going into the Civilian MREs, Civilian MRE Comparison, and Buying Civilian MREs pages and revising them, also. I'll be taking out the Wornick Eversafe meals (since they're no longer producing them) and replacing them with Menu Cs.

Heh, this year for my annual fishing trip I'm taking my "C" case and I am bringing my digicam, so I hope to have a lot of good pix of everything out there. I'm also looking forward to cracking open those T-rats I got, so pix of those too.. only a month and a half away.. so close, yet sooooo far.

I just updated the Menu C page again. This time I finally got the calorie counts on there. At least one menu was surprisingly light (#9 - 1,205 calories), while one went as high as 1,750 and the others averaged out around 1,500 calories.
These weren't the most exact calorie counts I've ever done. In the past, I've just opened up every page in a case and visually counted the calories off each packet. But in this case, I already had most of the nutritional info so I just used sources I already had.
Unfortunately, some of these "sources" were conflicting. For example, one vendor listed the Omelet with Cheese as 380 calories while another had it as 240. But then I have an actual entree box in front of me that says 270.
And the it's hit or miss on the candy - some candy has more calories than others - M&Ms vs. Tootsie Rolls for example.
But the counts should be close enough. If anyone has any updates or changes, I'm happy to hear them.

Who needs FSR's when you can just stuff an MRE bag with lots more items.

That's pretty much what an FSR is...a bunch of MRE snacks with a couple of Hot Pockets thrown in. That's pretty much what field stripping a case of MREs gives you anyway.

Real cool about the extra munchies on the C menus, but they are cutting back on the cheese spreads which to me is a real treat.

Good point on the cheese spreads - I've got a running list of suggestions for menu tweaks when the opportunity arises for the next production run, so I will definately ad that to my list.
Keep any other suggestions coming, as I have gotten some great ones here already!
